Arbys, Rocklin, CA Complaint - Terrible Rip Off Place!!!

Review by survivorchic on 2008-05-26
ROCKLIN, CALIFORNIA -- I just went there on Friday of last week. When I went into the drive-through a woman asked to take my order. When she repeated it, I couldn't understand a work she said. I asked her to repeat it. I still didn't understand what she said. I then told her what I wanted and she said, oh well, I will give you your total at the window. My son was in the car with me and his girlfriend was ordering her food in the car behind us. I paid pulled over and couldn't find my curly fries that was on my receipt. I went inside and got them. They laughed when I came in.

We all got home, went into the bags and my son had a chicken sandwich instead of a turkey. The fries were really cold. Then my son told me he should have known because every time he goes there they screw up his order. This is very bad. Then I while reading my receipt I noticed they charged me .80 cents to use my bank card which is an instant withdrawal. I never would have paid with the card had I noticed that!

PLEASE PEOPLE; IF YOU WANT TO LIVE AND WORK WITH THE PUBLIC IN AMERICA FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH. FUNNY HOW THEY CAN COUNT MONEY THOUGH.

I HATE THIS PLACE WILL NEVER NEVER RETURN
ARBYS SHOULD BE ASHAMED AND I WILL NOT BE SURPRISED WHEN THEY GO BROKE!!!

Must be either something new, or something regional to charge you to use your card...we've gone to the Arby's here for years and I have used my debit card and they have never charged me to use it. It has been awhile since we've been though so I will keep my eyes open for extra charges.
Thanks for the possible head's up!

The card charge sounds 'fishy'...I'd look into that a little further. A huge number of folks use their debit cards for fast food. If a business tacks on almost a dollar per transaction like this, it would be more profitable than hawking bad roast beef sammies.

Started out as a good post, but you lost with those racist comments at the end.(NH)

I think 'xenophobic' fits better than 'racist'. I found it a bit humbling when I've travelled overseas and not been competent in the local language. If non-English speaking immigrants cannot work in low-skill jobs like fast food, where should they work? Odds are, the poster could not land a quality job where English was not the primary language...and neither could I.

I hope you're not handing your card through the window to them? You should never let your card out of your sight. I don't know how using a debit/credit card works with drive throughs, but I would not hand my card in to anyone these days. I never use my card for fast food...if I don't have the money with me, I go to the ATM and get the cash out first and use the cash, or I just go home and eat.

Call it whatever you want Doc, but I just found it pretty rude. Not so much the English part but the "Funny how they can count money though" part.

80 cents seemed to be an issue here too. Imagine the gumballs you could buy with that!

"When she repeated it, I couldn't understand a work she said."
