Circuit City Complaint - Customer Service? Ha!
VALLEY STREAM, NEW YORK -- I purchased a gift card for my grandson on line who lives 1200 miles away from me. I was told I would get an e-mail with a confirmation # in 20-30 minutes. I would have to call my grandson with this conf. number and he would bring it in to his local Circuit City store to make a purchase that same day. First, the e-mail didn't come for almost three hours. Then when he went to the store, he was told he needs a copy of the e-mail. He called me from the store where I spoke to the store manager. He told me he ( my grandson) would have to go back home and print out a copy of the e-mail. I asked the manager if I could forward the e-mail to the store or if my grandson could simply retrieve the e-mail from one of the stores computers so he wouldn't have to drive all the way back home. I was told NO! he has to go back home and print it out from his own computer. This is customer service? I cancelled the order.
I called Best Buy who treated me and my grandson like a CUSTOMER. I purchased the gift card over the phone, he walked into Best Buy and made his purchase with no problems. I will never, ever do business with Circuit City again and I advise everyone to stay away from them as well.
