Thomasville Wood Flooring Informative - Thomasville Hardwood Flooring

Review by richf on 2008-05-27
11803, NEW YORK -- I recently installed Thomasville engineered wood flooring in my den. Since the day the floor was installed it has been a complete and utter disaster. The floor is constantly filled with smudges. Thomasville claims that I am using the wrong hardwood floor cleaner, yet every cleaner I've used has been at its recommended. Although the floor comes with a 30 year warranty, the floor also scratches very easily. We never walk in our house with our shoes on, yet the floor is filled with scratches. Thomasville sent an inspector to our house. He blamed the scratches on our "large dog", which is a 16 lb King Charles Spaniel (obviously not very big) who is confined to our kitchen (the Thomasville floor is in our den). Interestingly, the inspector did not note in his report that all other wood flooring I have in my house is free from scratches and smudges, despite the presence of my "large" 16 lb. lap dog.

In short, the Thomasville floor I purchased was an absolute waste of $2,500. They manufacture a sub-par product and have breached their product warranty. I'd never buy a Thomasville product again and I wouldn't recommend one to my worst enemy.

this only sums up why these engineered floors are not as good as the real thing.
