Washington Mutual Informative - How to get someone that can help
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- It might not always work but here is a tip:
Call the customer support number and ask for a supervisor. You have to do this during normal working hours or you won't be transfered to the USA. Seems all calls go to the Phillipines first and trust me, they know NOTHING.
I have been continually amazed with the total incompetence of the people working at this bank including branch managers. I have literally fought with people in the Phillipines, made numerous calls to branches that were never returned, given wrong information NUMEROUS times but it seems that WaMu has a few competent people in there escallations group.
The ONLY reason I continue to bank with them is the interest rate they pay. If I find another bank with a higher rate and more competent staff I will be gone in a heartbeat!
This site is great for complaining but it would be more helpful to provide ways to get around the incompetence of any business. Maybe you should focus on the fixes and tips and not just the bi#ching? Class action lawsuits benefit lawyers mostly so I don't see that as a big help to consumers.
