Procter & Gamble Complaint - Pringles Select - You should SELECT another
So I'm strolling down the snack aisle today, looking for something new to snack on. I spy a snazzy looking new package with the familiar Pringles logo - the little bow tied face fellow with the handlebar mustache.
The package says "Pringles Select BOLD CRUNCH Cheddar Jack" with the disclaimer "artificially flavored" stamped in black right on the front label. Pictured are some interesting looking chips that appear to be those kettle style chips that have become so popular. Priced at 2.79 for an 8 oz. bag, they're certainly not inexpensive but I decide what the heck, interesting packaging nicely logoed I took the bait.
Opening the bag they sure smelled good, but grabbing my first handful I was immediately disappointed. Unlike the photo, they weren't the kettle style but rather the same stamped out potato meal style "chips" as ordinary pringles. That of course was my fault, I should have realized that before I bought them.
The more disappointing fact of the matter was the artificially flavored Bold Crunch Cheddar Jack flavor. I can't put my finger on it, but they remind me a bit like any cooking experiment you ever might have tried when you over seasoned something or just plain added many ingredients to something.
Eye catching packaging, disappointing texture and consistency and just plain "off" taste. This is one product that even beer can't fix in my opinion. Save your money and choose something else.
