He never even touched the vehicle in 5 weeks even though he told me it was a 4 or 5 hour job. I called repeatedly and left messages, but my calls were never returned. When I finally reached him, he yelled at me and told me not to call again. I received absolutely terrible customer service. I have no idea how this company stays in business. I had to pick up the vehicle and take it elsewhere.

Be smart, take your vehicle to a reputable company and pay a little more money for your own peace of mind.

Did he give a reason for the delay. Perhaps he's waiting on parts? The job may be quick, if the parts are available. However, if he's mistreating you or unreasonably delaying the repair, you can take your car to another shop. But, you will probably be asked to pay 'storage' fees for five weeks.
