Camera Addict Complaint - Online Camera Purchase

I recently had a very poor experience with Camera Addict. I purchased a Sony Camera and confirmation was sent to me asking me to call an 800 number to verify the purchase. I attempted to call several times and was put on "hold" for ever each time. I left messages to have my call returned but they never did. Now I see on their website that this camera is no longer available at my confirmed price but is much higher. Today I called their 800 number and was put through to the tracking department and was told the confirmation number was invalid.

I believe these people are unethical and very possibly dishonest in their business practices. I would urge everyone not to do business with this company.

They are only one of many who play the same game. Usually if the purchaser never calls them back or refuses to buy 'extras' the item is suddenly out of stock. Keep an eye on your credit card statement because some are so unethical that they charge the card anyway. Then they make you prove you never received merchandise.
