JCpenny Optical Complaint - Optical Service - Glasses

Review by glasses on 2008-06-03
VERNON HILLS, ILLINOIS -- I need someone who can help me with my dispute over the pair of glasses that I purchased at your vernon hills ill location. I have spoken with the manager, and the district manager. I need the transistions taken out and a new pair made. Because the sales person did not tell me they would not work when I drove, I cannot afford to put more money into this.

Plus I had to wait a month and a half, and than had to take them back because they did not work. And waited another week. Please help me to resolve this mattter without having to get others involved. Please contact me at [snip]. I have never been so disappointed with your company. You even made me a gold member.

But if this does not get resolved I will no longer shop at your store. AND WILL NOT PAY FOR THE GLASSES I HAVE.

THANKS

Wendy

not a good idea to post your name and phnone number on the internet. I have great luck with JCP optical and I can't see why they won't work with you. Perhaps its just that individual location, but they have replaced lenses for me after I had ordered them and made things right.

I'm not saying I doubt the OP. But, I have a former colleague who flies his private plane while wearing transitions, and he also drives his car while wearing them. Must be individual differences.

I am assuming that when you say they don't work in the skank boat, you meen that they dont turn dark? There are several fit-over sunglasses that will solve your problem. They will make you look like a dork though so your days as a babe magnet will be over.

Unless you told the sales person you drive a car with a/c in it, s/he had no way of knowing they wouldn't work while driving. Although barely noticeable, it's the tint in the windows that prevents the lenses from darkening.
