Alienware Complaint - Didn't Work For 7 Months
98027, WASHINGTON -- We spent $2800 on a Hangar 18 Media Computer. We had multiple problems from day one. Alienware would not give us a new machine. We had to ship ours back for repair 3 times and troubleshoot over the phone for over 10 hours. They would ship it back to us (after having it for 3 weeks) and it would have the same sound problem. We were asked to reinstall Vista 3 times. They finally agreed to provide a new machine, after 3 returns. It then took 8 weeks to get the new machine. What made us the most angry was Alienware's refusal to give us any money back, after paying in September and not having a working unit until June! I spoke to Patricia Castro, at Alienware, who told me I could not talk to her supervisor, because she didn't have one. I guess she must be the CEO. She said they would definitely not give us any money back and were sorry for our dissatisfaction.
Don't buy from them unless you're willing to spend months working out the bugs, packing and unpacking your computer, shipping it several times and setting it up over and over again. I know my company (medical supplies) would not refuse to give compensation to a customer who did not receive a usable product for over 8 months from the time they were charged.
