Dish Network Complaint - Very Poor Customer Servive - Stay Away
KIRKWOOD, PENNSYLVANIA -- I moved and purchased a bundle package with Frontier Communications that uses Dish Network as their satellite people. It was clear and plain for Dish Network to come and install ALL new equipment. The house had an old dish already on it. After many call and two different service calls to install the NEW dish as they advertised. I am told the "OLD" dish will last 30 years and they will not replace it with a new one. I called customer service the same day after the 1st guy that came and spent 5 hours running almost 200 feet of wire around the front of the house to a back bedroom almost right above and less than 30 feet from dish. which by the way he came in middle of a front wall and ran wire across my carpet threw a closest front and back out again leaving a mess and wore exposed.
The call was to complain about poor work and my dish that was not replaced. Customer service simply told me sorry, but I had a working system and I had signed a two year contract that I could not get out off. That was all the help I got - not even sorry. I made several more call and got the same thing. After climbing the latter, I got a second service call after being told another $99.00 installing fee. They came out and again told me they would not install a new dish which was part of their agreement when signing. That same guy said running 200 feet of extra wire would not cause any problems with my reception and would leave me a new dish in my garage if I wanted. I told him that new dish in my garage would not do me any good. He also told me dishes last 20-30 years and that old dish had years in it yet. I told him to get his behind off my property, These were sub contractors and very poor speaking people. I have since requested a rep from Dish to come out and get this straight. That took contacting Frontier top people to get that far.
I had Dircway before and never had a problem in over 5 years or so. Stay away from Dish Network, they do not care and once you sign papers they are done with you.
