General Motors Complaint - 2002 Chevy Malibu
COLUMBUS, OHIO -- I purchased my 2002 Chevy Malibu in great condition with only about 30,000 miles on it. Since I purchased the vehicle I have had several issues,it started with the rotors and brake pads needing replaced about once a month, and then it escalated. One morning out of the blue my car wouldn't start. After replacing several costly parts, we figured out that it was the anti theft system from an article on the internet. The fix was that the key had to be inserted into the ignition and turned to the on position and left to sit for 10 minutes and then turned off before attempting to start the car. About two weeks after fixing that problem, the car started to make a funny noise.
It turns out that there was a rod knocking and now the engine needs to be replaced on the car. I cannot believe that GM could deny an issue with this car, and I think that they should either fix the problem or replace the car.
