Purity Products Informative - Purity Products HA Formula Scam: Credit Card Billing Fraud - Purity Products HA Formula Scam; They Ship Product

Purity Products HA Formula Scam; They Ship Product
Review by Joe645 on 2008-06-05
MICHIGAN -- These people are liars. We tired this product one time, called them back and said thanks but no thanks, it did not help with the joint problems ad advertised, and we told them in no uncertain terms to not ship us any more product.

Months later, out of the blue, they shipped again, and billed our checking account 80 bucks! Now we have to wait two weeks to get our money back and they have the gall to lie to us and tell us that we authorized delayed shipping which is total bs, and an outright bald face lie.

The customer service department told us that we would have to pay for return shipping if we wanted to get our money back. What a bunch of liars. This company engages in highly unethical and in my opinion illegal activities - if they take out money from someones checking account without permission that is nothing less than stealing.

We have to waste valuable time on the phone trying to get our money back and waste more time going to UPS to ship back product.

Don't trust these telemarketing scammers, if you call them after hearing their ad radio ad as we did, you will be on their list and they will lie and ship you product you never ordered if you choose to not order again.

Go to your bank and file an affadavit of fraud, and have them reverse the debit to your account.
Posted by madconsumer on 2008-06-05:
when you signed up for the free offer, you did authorize them to send delayed shipments, as well as to withdraw money from your account. go back and re-read the offer you signed up for.

i suspect you did not cancel in a timely manner, and caused them to ship more products.

Unfortunately, I didn't read this post until it was too late, and I just got scamed by Purity Products. Can we ban together and put and end to this?

Thanks for your story. I was planning on ordering this product. Now I will look elsewhere.

Hello, I would like to shed some light on these people who seem to never get it. This H.A. Joint has and already [is] turning out to be the next "Acai 'SCAM'”, which, btw, has some of the same auto-bill payment systems as any supplement purveyor, depending on your dealer, and how shady they run their business ordering system.

Alright, folks; you cannot simply just take Hyaluronic Acid along with whatever else this product contains [which I currently take btw for my back and beck, but is primarily for joint regeneration], and expect to see pain relief results like a narcotic pain reliever with tissue growth of exponential proportions building up in the critical areas of your joints – all sarcasm aside :/

If you are buying a product like this, please, do some research before you come on a site such as this and denounce one of the best, if not THE best supplement manufacturers in the nation, in my opinion.

Directed at no one in particular: Are [you, anyone previously taking or currently taking H.A. Joint Formula by Purity Products] eating normally healthy otherwise? Are [you] morbidly obese? Are [you] getting your daily intake of calcium citrate in the correct IU's per day? Are [you] eating sizeable amounts of fast food, (particularly food high in trans fats and vegetable oil and MSG?; also disguised under names such as: L-glutamic acid, monosodium salt, Hydrolyzed vegetable protein, autolyzed yeast whey protein), and are [you] cooking with soybean oil and corn oil and deep frying foods on a constant basis?

There are so many factors that these, dare I say, [ignorant] consumers who take this stuff for a month and go on to complain that…

"…It didn't heal my arthritis and I feel no different…"
“I still have pain, SCAM product and scam company...beware!”

To that end, I say this. Some people may not even need this product, and instead, should start stretching more, moving, walking, exercising in general, eating better, getting informed about nutrition, and please, if you do, stop taking harmful bone drugs that are so heavily promoted on TV. [That is, if you currently are], that can actually, and have been proven to increase bone density, but in many cases, an increase, ironically, does not necessarily translate to healthier, stronger bones -- and can actually deteriorate your bones by [potentially] making them [more] brittle, and have played a role in many (an unknown amount of) hip fractures.

“While these medications are designed to help with bone loss and strengthening of the bones, the drugs may actually be promoting bone loss.” [1]

Getting back on topic…
Yes, I can almost assure you if you tell your GP/MD you are taking this they will inevitably crack a laugh or two. They have no expert knowledge/training in health or nutritional science.

I could go on all day, and please, I hope my first post on this great 'my3cents' website (which btw actually turned out to be more like a buck fifty ;) doesn’t offend anyone, I am not trying to insult, ridicule, flame, or instigate a strike or ban. I am truly passionate about nutritional supplements.

Charging you every month – Be Proactive, that’s all I can say.
{In a non-defensive tone}…"What company would not want to resupply you with a product that has been proven in trials to help with certain ailments?"

There are 3 ways to order from their online store, regular price, super saver [(which automatically bills your monthly statement and sends out your bottle for the month according to the dosage and capsules per container, usually bottled for monthly use), the best deal according the their site], and then you can buy 4 and get one free. The “Super Saver” is the best deal according to them because you don’t have to worry about remembering to refill your pills, and if you’re satisfied with the product, have nothing to worry about.

Of course, if you are not happy, Purity Products will grant you a full refund – even if you forget or unknowingly sign up for a recurring supply of a supplement you hadn’t meant for an auto charge arrangement.

I have dealt with Purity for at least five years and have made over 100 transactions at least. Their customer service is of TOP NOTCH; and furthermore, it’s not only backed up by their QAI stamp, but the effectiveness of goods sold on their website.

If you used the entire bottle in a one month period, why would the company NOT auto bill you for another bottle or whatever the order agreement happened to be at that time? It happens all the time with companies, non-nutrition related alike; when you make [hopefully informed] buying decisions about supplements in particular, do all the research you can, they are not all create equal. There are many factors that go into the processing of vital supplements, nutrients, essential oils, and fish oils etc. etc., and Hyaluronic acid is no exception; although, personably, I think Purity Products has a winner here ;) I stand by them 100%.

Thank you all for listening to my more than 3 cents and I hope to be an active member in this online community! :)

PS, Joe645, I really hope this doesn’t turn you away from nutritional pharmaceuticals, just make sure you get the name of the representative and clearly understand that the finance department has been notified of the issue. I am really disappointed you had a difficult time with this company.

******While I do not, in ANY WAY shape or form, condone their business practices of late, I still stand by the company and would advise anyone considering trying this product to use the website and not get up-sold over the phone. Yes, it is a shame that an astute company such as them have, as of late, stooped to a level of unscrupulous business practice. However, being such a life long buyer, they have always treated me fairly and refunded me when appropriate and have received countless complementary bottles of supplements for being a regular customer.

I cancelled all future shipments of Purity Products in February 2012. My debit/credit card had been deactivated by my bank due to several numbers being compromised. This was the number Purity Products had on file. Somehow they were able to" force " a payment through last week. When I called them on it they said they had no record of me cancelling future shipments. I should be receiving the products tomorrow and will be refusing them.

Thanks for all the posts. I heard an infoMercial on a popular local radio station yesterday about purity's vit-D product. So happy I thought to research before purchasing...I just wish the radio station was more responsible about letting a company w/ SO MANY consumer scam complaints against them, advertise this on the radio :(

This company is legitimate and works to satisfy it's customers. It's not perfect. I've been buying their quality supplements for 4 years. Stop whinning and blaming others for your own mistakes

Until visiting this site I was on the verge of ordering one of their products. That won't happen now. Their smarmy radio info-mercial almost got me. Glad I came to this site first. Thanks.

I had almost ordered their free offer when I decided to look them up on the net. I am so glad that I did! I will NOT order from them. I will NOT let them scam me. I would rather buy from companies that do not act like criminals.

scam company, the whole business runs on the idea of retention. Call for a "free" bottle off the radio,(scam, claims 30 day supply, product will will make you live forever, only free bottle, great deal, blah blah etc) the agent on the phone will then read a "legally approved" script which is made to read as though you have to do a auto ship (if they don't put you on it you can be assured their job is in jeopardy) the scam continues with most products being 15 day supply. Call in to cancel and expect to wait 55 minutes for "customer care", expect many rebuttals to keep product at a lower price. Is this really a company you want to deal with?
