Funjet Complaint - Stay Away From Funjet. They Only Care About Your Money!!!

MILWAKEE, WISCONSIN -- My daughter got very sick and I was trying to reschedule our trip to Los Cabos since she was contagious. Although the Hilton hotel and airline were willing to rebook us with no fee, FUNJET was only interested in keeping thousands of dollars which they did. Along the way, I found out that they misrepresented the flight information. We thought that we were using a regular SUNCountry flight but this was not the case. They would not give you their supervisor's extension and spit on your face with insulting comments.

It is a shame that this company is in business. You are forewarned!!!

Two words: Travel Insurance.

Travel companies and airlines are not in the business of handing out new plane tickets for free due to illness. We all would think it is great customer service, but I am sure the amount of "sick" people would increase heavily if there was not a penalty to move travel dates around. For a few extra bucks a travel insurance policy would have covered this situation.

Your posting regarding the need for travel insurance does not hold for several reasons (in the case of Funjet):

1) Funjet and the insurance company always find excuses not to pay. The fine print is quite informative.

2) The insurance does not cost a few dollars. It is close to 100 dollars a person.

3) We offered to even pay $2,000 for a penalty but the company was only after the whole amount.

4) The Funjet's customer service was terrible. They would not reply nor they would give any information about their names or their supervisors. They actually misguided us several times.

You have been forwarned about this company.
