Intercontinental Suites Complaint - Management - Billing, Customer Service, Room Hygiene, Etc.
CLEVELAND, OHIO -- We stayed at the Intercontinental Suites, which is affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic, but is far from representing "world class care." The hotel manager told my mother that someone had taken me out of the hotel and had since taken over my room, which prompted her to call the Cleveland police and have a stroke in a panicked situation. After solving that, they double-billed our credit card for the first night, tacking on a $19 breakfast which we did not eat. Our ceiling began leaking that night, as well.
We sent our laundry off and it came back nearly 8 hours after it was due...still wet. Dinner took nearly an hour to arrive at the table when we ate at the hotel restaurant, prompting us to simply have it delivered to the room. The hotel later added an additional $943 which they could not explain to our credit card, causing our bank to put a stop on all payments. Management refuses to do anything except to say "I'm sorry" and will not offer any explanations as to how "world class care" could have morphed into this horrible "hotel."
I would never wish this type of stay on any of my enemies and I have NEVER had a problem with a hotel before. Days Inn on Euclid (with prostitutes walking around the lobby) was classier and better managed than this establishment. I cannot express the stress that it has caused us during our stay here, when I was hoping for a stress free day after spending 8 hours at the Cleveland Clinic. This does not even touch the subject of the permanent mental trauma that this has inflected upon my mother, who will never fully recover.
DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL.
