Mullinex Ford Complaint - Dealer Can't Fix His Own Product!!!!

Review by no more fords! on 2008-06-09
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA -- I have a 1994 ford Crown Victoria ( the main stay of Fords business !) that wouldn't start. It would turn over but not fire. So I had it towed to the local Ford dealer for repair and a recall on the cruise control. They replaced the cps ( crankcase postioning sensor) and I paid the 375 dollar bill and drove home. A day and a half later it was doing the same thing! The dealer towed it in, said they pay the bill and started to work on it again. They said it wasn't the cps, it was the wiring to it ( mechanic told the service writer the first time in that it was marginal but he let it pass!)

They would give me full credit for the part against the new bill.A week goes by and they still couldn't fix it or diagnose it!!!! Even suggested I not try to have it fixed!! I said fix it. They said they were going to check the fuel pump and I said it isn't the fuel pump. The reset button for it in the trunk didn't trip. I suggested they check for a firing problem not fuel problem. They didn't and ended up breaking the fuel lines. Then they replaced the computer ( said the service mgr tested it and it wasn't putting out a sginal) so they sent it out for repair. Its now been a MONTH and its still not ready. I called Ford last week and they called the dealer.

That was last week and still I haven't even heard from the dealer!!! Can you imagine a Ford dealer that can't even fix a Crown Victoria that just won't start??!!!!I'm going to call Ford Motor co. again tomorrow, but it really makes you wonder who they have there for "mechanics". I'll bet none of them have a high school diploma, G.E.D or even a green card!!!

It is a 14 year old car. Since you seem to think you know what it is, tow it to an independent mechanic who will do what you want them to do.
