Fleet bank Complaint - Deposit $380.00 (cash) on 4/6/01 via ATM machine.
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- Customer Relations Manager,
As a frequent user of your company, I feel obligated to share with you my experience.
Deposit $380.00 (cash) on 4/6/01 via ATM machine.
Branch accidently posted cash as check.
4/6/01 deposit is schedule to clear on 4/11/01
Went into bank on 4/9/01 spoke with customer services representative, she stated it was a banking error and they will rectify the matter.
4/9/01 deposit funds through Deposit payment Express
Funds were not credited
4/10/01 went to bank to speak with branch manager. Manger stated it was a error on their behalf regarding the deposit on 4/6/01. They accidently coded incorrectly. However, the funds will not be release until 4/11/01.
I gave the manager my receipt for the $450.00 deposit. He gave the receipt for someone to research.
He told me my receipt was stated $450.00 but only $350.00 was enclosed. I told him I put 5 - fifty dollars bills and 10 twenty dollar bills. So, I had $450.00. Then I told him if it was a problem how come no one from his branch called me if this occurred. I My number was on the envelope. He stated they were intending to call me this morning.
He was a very aggorant and spoke to me in agrumentative manner. I gather he felt that I was young and spoke down to me in non professional attitude. He spoke as if I was getting on his nerve. He stated I came in their with an attitude and refuse to speak with anyone but him.
He told me that happens and basically its nothing they can do. They can not go in and changes how the funds were posted. He indirectly told me I did not deposit $450 but $350 and that was final. He did not offer to investigate or anything.
He deposit the $450.00 this morning and then deducted $100.00 as teller withdrawal. I did not withdrawal no funds this morning.
Also, now I have to withdrawal money out of another account $100.00. To cover my the check I wrote.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
I want to close all three account with their bank.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident.
