Lowe's Complaint - Do Not Trust Lowe's In Frisco, TX For Any Flooring Needs
FRISCO, TEXAS -- We just spent $8,500.00 to have hardwood flooring and new carpet installed in part of our house. Well, we are attempting to have all of the carpet we paid for installed at this writing.
Lowe's is eager to take your money up front but very short on honest follow up and response once they have what they want.
To begin with, we were lied to three times about an installation time for the hardwood floor. We never received any follow up calls about the difficulties they were encountering regarding shipments of wood, glue or related parts. Twice were told an installer would call us and that never happened. I made two personal visits to the store and was lied to both times about when the work would start.
Then came the carpet installation. They came to do the install and did not have enough carpet. They ended up having to splice to cover the portion that was laid. My wife called into Lowe's and the response of the " sales manager " was that the mill had not filled the order correctly. Guess what? We did not give our money to the mill; we gave it to Lowe's. Of course he has not called back to see if we were taken care of.
Later I got a call from another employee and was promised a response on when the carpet would arrive and promised a reply as to whether or not Lowe's would offer some sort of remedy for the trouble they have caused through their untruthfulness. (I took off from work three times to be at home for the wood floor.) Of course this person never called back.
Last night, I emailed Lowe's " customer care " to inform them that all future communication must be in written form. This morning the store manager tried to call me and I would not take his call nor will I return his call.
Therein lies the point, words are worth no more than oats that have been through the horse once at Lowe's in Frisco. If you buy anything of consequence at this location, GET EVERYTHING THEY PROMISE IN WRITING before you give them a form or payment and do not expect follow up.
The old slogan at Lowe's was: " You can do it. We can help. " The more appropriate slogan is: " You can pay for it. We can lie to you. "
