StreamEnergy Complaint - Chaotic Billing - Electric Provider
CEDAR HILL, TEXAS -- Starting in Feb. 07, my bill went from 360.00 to 505.00, when I called to ask why Stream said that I had to pay a "true up" and that it would be divided over 2 months Feb and Mar, by April things would be back to normal. Well in March my bill was 581.00, April it was 698.00! I called again and was told that I owed 981.85 because I was under billed from Oct 06 to Oct 07. They issued me a 89.00 credit at that time but could not explain why. I asked for the figures for that time period to be sent to my home. They sent some figures but not for that time period. When I did finally get the figures they did not add up to 981.85 - it was 907.00! My May bill was 885.00, there is a charge on there of 227.81 extra and a payment credited to my account for 227.80, but when I called no one was able to explain what that was and told me not to worry about it.
I have asked for an accurate accounting of all my charges, credits, payments, etc. and an explanation of my erratic bill. I also told them that if they could not accomplish this - it's been 4 months - that I would lodge a formal complaint with the Power and Utilities Commission of Texas.
