Burlington Coat Factory Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
MURRAY, UTAH -- The customer service at Burlington Coat Factory is horrible. I bought an infant car seat at the Murray Utah location and called them to question returning it to the store. The manager who was put on the line to assist me is the poster child for horrible customer service. They wouldn't take the car seat back which was fine but the manager lacked the courtesy and professionalism that he should have had in explaining their return policy and the reason he couldn't take it back. He had also mentioned that if I had only used the car seat for a few weeks then he could put it back on the shelf. This is a major issue for parents. I'm pretty sure they shouldn't be doing this. I sent an email complaint to corporate about the customer service. They woman who called me wanted to talk to the manager and said she would call me back that night. She never did. I got an email back 2 weeks later stating they couldn't take the car seat back. Not what I wanted. I wanted someone to know about the lack of customer service.
I also feel that since she obviously didn't take the time to address the main issue I was upset about (the lack of customer service) that she just continued the chain of horrible customer service with Burlington Coat Factory. I replied to that email stating the customer service was my issue and I still haven't heard back from them. I will not shop Burlington Coat Factory again and will share my experience with others. Word of mouth goes a long way.
