Village Inn Informative - Stuck Up Waitress - Restaurant

Review by DRKELSO on 2008-06-13
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO -- I went in and was seated promptly. I sat down and the waitress (who I thought was cute enough) came over to take my drink order. She looked familiar for whatever reason so I asked if she went to my school. She just said no and walked away. OK she doesn't feel like talking to me, oh well it happens. So I get my coffee which is practically room temperature. I ask her to bring me a fresh pot when she is near me and she states "I just made that". OK.... not wanting to be confrontational I asked one of the other servers to bring it out for me. He did and I enjoyed.

So I finish eating my Ultimate Skillet (absolutely delicious). I'm waiting for her to bring a receipt so I can pay out.... 10 minutes later... still no check. Then a 6 top gets sat next to where I'm eating and she goes and takes their entire drink order without dropping me the check. OK.... common, its not like I actually pay the girl, she just needs to drop off the slip so I can go to the front. I am a waiter, its not that hard. So I did something I used to be completely against. I walked out.

She can go through the trouble of explaining why the customers are leaving before paying their bill to the manager. Haha.

You do know that is theft of services right? Just because she didn't bring you your bill in a timely manner does not mean you can walk out. You could have easily went up to the register and told them what you had. There is a word for people like you............

Sounds to me from your comment "cute enough" you tried to hit on her and she wasn't interested. But there is no excuse for at thief and now you are

"cute enough"
"Then a 6 top gets sat next to where I'm eating .."

um excuse you? do you rate all the ladies you know as number of grade? I am glad she gave you poor service, and to bad they did not get your car tag number so they can charge you with theft of services.

Did it even occur to you to "ASK" for the bill? You had no problem asking for a fresh pot of coffee.

I think you just did that because she hit you in your ego.

madconsumer~ a 6 top means a party of 6 you know 6 people sat at a table and she took their drink order before taking care of his needs. The bill could have been dropped off quickly--it was a bit ridiculous.

However since you are a waiter you should know better--were they busy? maybe you made her feel uncomfortable--still no excuse for her behavior or yours
I just walk to the register or up to the server if it happens to me.

I hope your sorry ass gets busted!! Ever hear of calling a manager?! That's what I do when I do get my check in a timely manner. I go to the manager and say "Hey...excuse me sir/ma'am..could you give me my check so that I can pay. I'm in a hurry."

I don't believe this post. I think it's made up for shock purposes.

Ejack...why would you pay a check?

Maybe she did go to your school, and she did remember you.

Your a waiter and walked out without paying? Wow. First you hit on the poor girl and then you just walk out without paying because she didn't drop what she was doing to give you your check. Did you ever hear of a manager? Seeing as you are a waiter, I assume the thought would have occurred to you that you should probably speak with him/her to get your check.

Princi...he didn't even try calling the girl over and ask for the bill...sounds to me that he had no intention on paying in the first place. He knew to call another server over for his coffee though.

Wait a minute...Are you a waiter or do you work for Comcast? You have claimed to be both.
Posted by D. on 2008-06-14:
Chuckie...he has to have a job with Comcast on the side, because being a waiter, too many people get up and walk out when he isn't looking and leaves without paying...they do this because some guy on M3C is a waiter, and said it's OK to do that.

DRKELSO, what you did was illegal. I have contacted the M3C team and they have sent all your information to the local authorities.

DRKELSO, I ate at that restaurant myself and had the same waitress. My Ultimate Skillet was tasty as well. I was running a bit short of cash that day so I went to the register and told the nice young lady there that the elderly couple at table 2, the one by the window on the left hand side, were taking care of my check. You really must learn to be a bit more original. Just walking out is a bit tacky.

You chose an appropriate screen name, Kelso. If oyu ever watch 'That 70s Show,' you probably saw the episode where Kelso invites the gang out to eat, then pulls the old dine and dash. You sound almost as intelligent as Michael Kelso. I don't even think Fez would be THAT stupid.

Lol, I didn't think this would cause such an uproar. I chuckled softly for several minutes at the fact someone thought I made it up sheerly for the shock factor. Its also funny you connected me to michael Kelso. People have been doing that to me ever since that wonderful show came out in 2000, lol. I kind of look like him and have a couple things in common w him as well. However whoever claims they snitched me out obviously has a lack of life. lol.

drkelso, you are a jerk and a thief for doing that.
what goes around comes around.
Posted by DRKELSO on 2008-06-26:
lol people have walked out on me before because I told them there is a charge for a salad bar. lol, the manager comes over, comps the ticket.... and life goes on. Its not the end of the world, I love how everyone chip on their shoulder. If she would have been paying attention to her customers like waiters and waitresses should, she wouldve noticed my disgruntlement. Mind you I had finished my plate 10 minutes before she even greeted the 6 top.
