Compass Dodge Orange NJ Informative - Dishonest Car Dealer

Review by Sandeep on 2008-06-14
NEW JERSEY, NEW JERSEY -- I had a really bad experience at Compass Dodge dealership. They advertised a Toyota Yaris 2008 model on auto trader. The asking price was $10500/- I spoke to them twice and on the day before I set off around 2 PM. when I reached the dealership at 3:30 they told me that car has been sold and showed me another Toyota Corolla which was in bad shaped with a offer price of $15995.

They are clearly lying. They wasted my time. Do not consider them if you don't want to be fooled.

You are being redundant. Saying "Dishonest Car Dealer" is like saying "wet fish". Not necessary.

Maybe 'bait and switch', maybe not. The Yaris is a very popular car these days. It's not unlikely that the car could have sold between your phone call and your visit. Anyone who wants a car held at a dealer has to put down a deposit, otherwise it goes to whoever forks over the $$ first.

But, if they told you they had someone else interested in the car...you would have thought they were saying that to pressure you into buying.
