ShoeMall Complaint - Incorrect Delivery Items + Bad Service = ShoeMall

Review by Adina22 on 2008-06-14
I ordered a pair of size 7 shoes from ShoeMall but I received a size 6 in a shoe box labeled "Size 7" so I didn't notice the mistake until it was too late; I discovered the error minutes before I needed to wear the shoes. As a result, I had nothing to wear to the event I needed them for. I contacted a sales representative who was of no help and didn't even acknowledge how frustrating this might be for a customer. I also e-mailed a manager with a detailed account of what occurred, and I never even received an acknowledgment. Of course they let me return the shoes and they refunded me... but what about my aggravation? Since when do customers have to double check the contents of a shipment?

That is for ShoeMall's Quality Control staff to do, not me. First and last time I or anyone in my family or circle of close friends will be shopping there.

What would you like this company do to as compensation for your aggravation? Free shoes? A coupon for dinner at Applebee's? A FedEx box containing the severed head of the shipping supervisor? Honestly, what would the OP consider 'fair compensation'? IMHO, 'stuff happens' and almost all of it is by accident. Lesson learned: "Must open all ordered merchandise immediately to be sure it is what I ordered."

You were able to return the shoes and your money refunded? Count yourself blessed. Many people aren't quite that fortunate with mail orders. I've purchased shoes locally, come home and realized there were two different sizes in the box. It happens.

I too have experiences poor customer service from Shoemall. The shoes I recieved looked used with deep creases in the leather! The lady in customer service had a poor attitude so I emailed them. I also got no response. Will never again purchase from Shoemall.
