Braun Complaint - Braun has atrocious customer service and doesnt support its products

AUSTIN, TEXAS -- I couldn't find any water filters online or at a retail store for my KF600 coffee maker that I purchased last fall for $100. This is no Mr. Coffee its a premium coffee maker and I expect decent service and support.
Well I called their customer service to inquire about where I could get these water filters.
The first rep was totally unhelpful and hung up on me.
The second rep was helpful but told me that the online store connected with Braun that sells their accesories had them in stock which was totally made up. They are totally unavailable.
Finally I talked to a manager, I believe I deserve some kind of compensation for having an almost brand new product that I cannot use as specified.
The manager gave me the usual manipulative 'be nice and apologize to customer' routine. And then proceeded to tell me how to use the product without the water filter. Of course this just irritated me more. I told her I thought I deserved some compensation and she refused to even comment on whether I did or did not. Finally I got her to tell me the truth and despite the obvious problem she was going to do nothing to offset this situation. Fine I can live with that but I am sick and tired of having smoke blown at me, if you're going to rip me off at least have the decency to tell me that.
So I have an $100 coffee maker that I cant use properly after 6 months. Needless to say this is not the way to do business and it will be my last Braun product. I advise anyone who is considering buying a Braun product reconsider as they could be left with an unsupported product after just a few months.
