British Airways Complaint - Baggage Delay
EAST ELMHURST, NEW YORK -- I just want to bring to your attention about the way British Airways handles baggage delivery between London Heathrow airport and Chennai, India, also other locations. I flew with BA in first week of May this year from Los Angeles, CA to Chennai, India via London Heathrow. During my transit in London Heathrow airport, there was a terminal change i.e from 5 to 4 to catch a flight to Chennai. There was about 3 hrs connecting time between these flights. The problem is that BA Pilot announced to passengers that the flight would be delayed due to baggage loading, and it delayed little bit. But, after coming to Chennai, same Pilot informed passengers that BA didn't bring all the bags from London. I did not get one of my two bags from London of course.
This problem has been there for a while since there is a problem with Terminal 5 to 4 baggage transfer. The complaint I want to make against BA is that when I checked with BA before booking the ticket regarding this on-going problem, they told me that this problem was resolved at the end of March month itself, but it was NOT true. Also, I didn't get a proper response from BA to track my delayed baggage and I had to go to Airport in person to collect my bag due to incomplete paperwork done by BA for Indian Customs.
I am just wondering if there is a way to initiate a legal complaint against British Airways?
