Newegg Complaint - Terrible Customer Service
Only problem I have is with Newegg's terrible customer service. Hours after placing an order on the weekend I decided I wanted to substitute an item in my 1000 dollar new rig (major component upgrade only). Since it was such a short time from placing the order with no chance of the order being shipped I thought this would be no problem. The next day I received an email claiming it was impossible and there was nothing they could do.
After multiple emails asking for them to expedite the processor to me (with me paying the difference) so it arrives at the same time as my rig, they refused and instead authorized an RMA for the processor. They asked that I instead send the old processor back and they would then ship the new one to my house. Funny thing is I was using in store credit with 90 days of no interest, so the cost to me either way would be the same. To me the issue is not taking care of the customer when it really doesn't cost much to do so.
I will not be purchasing from Newegg anymore. There are lots of low cost alternatives for computer parts. Check out Mwave.com, Tigerdirect.com, or Amazon.com for your computer needs. Stay clear of these people. For those of you that disagree or have had positive experiences in the customer service department I am glad but I will not be coming back to the website to read your responses so no need to argue.
