Vox Products Informative - Vox Hard Drive: Bad Drive, Bad Service, Bad Company

I ordered the Vox 750GB 3.5in USB 2.0 & eSATA External Hard Drive on April 1, 2008 from Buy.com. The warranty is for one year. The unit stopped functioning around May 23, 2008 (less than two months after purchase). When the unit is plugged in to a computer and the power switch is turned on, nothing happens. I emailed a request to Vox for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) to have the unit repaired or replaced. The Vox representative--Luis Ortega--asked me to email a receipt, which I did. Having received authorization, I mailed the unit back on May 30. (I had to pay for shipping.) I received it back on June 15. It still did not function. I emailed [snip] at Vox on June 16 and then again on June 18. June 19 I lodged a complaint with the BBB, and emailed Vox with that news, after which I finally received an email from [snip] asking for my phone number, which I promptly sent. However, as of today (June 21) I have received no more emails, and no phone call is forthcoming.

In summary, I have been without my backup external hard drive for about a month now. [solicitation snip]

I had the same terrible experience with VOX Products. I purchased a VOX Product 500GB NAS storage MN1 from MWAVE. Product arrive but defective. VOX Product tech support asked that I return it for repair. I was issued an RMA# and shipped it back. I got an email that they have recieved the unit and will be repaired promtly. I inquired about it after a week and was told that it was repaired and will be shipped shortly. I called again after two weeks, I was told they were moving and caused a delay in shipping. I called after a couple more weeks to inquire. I was told it will be shipped soon but later no longer answering my emails and phone calls. I filed a complaint with BBB and received an email from VOX that the item will be shipped Friday of that week. Well another couple of weeks of nothing. They are no longer responding to email and phone call. (Voicemail is always full and I can not leave a message) No one is pickingup the phone. Here are the names of people that was in contact prior. Khal, Omar and Chris. These were suppossedly customer service and tech support. I have not heard from them. I am still hoping this is not a dead end for me. I just want my money back. They can have their product back.
