Homelite Informative - Homelite Service (Or Lack Of!!) - String Trimmer

CALGARY ALBERTA -- Purchased a Homelite string trimmer from Home Depot last summer. Tried to start it this spring. It fired right up, with fresh gas, then quit and wouldn't run. Called the service center and was told "it's not a warranty item" and that I should buy a Stil brand as the" box stores sell junk". They want $180 to fix a $99 trimmer!!!
