Bayfront Plaza Hotel Corpus Christi Texas Complaint - False Advertisement

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS -- We recently stayed at the Bayfront Plaza in Corpus Christi, Tx. Thinking we we,re getting a super deal my Husband and I checked in to this hotel for our vacation after a long drive. We found the lobby very nice, but our room stunk. We expected a smell b/c we requested smoking but not that bad. Luckily we brought our own air freshener. The door was hard to open with the key card and we had to slam the door for it to shut completely. The carpet was stained in several places with something black. No fridge as was stated in room. The elevators took for ever and sounded as if they would fall very loud. Pool rules we're not enforced. Rooms we're not sound proof. They decided to remodel the room next to us and refused to move us. No apology- all was said is they must remodel rooms from 12-4 Mon. -Fri. We had to call multiple times for fresh towels on a daily basis. Also there was not a full breakfast buffet as stated either. Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, honey buns, and juice. The bed was decently comfortable.

Wireless was free but sucked. Unless you looked really hard you would never find the iron and ironing board it was tucked away in the far corner of the closet. I do not recommend this hotel.
