US Bank Complaint - US Bank Is Stealing My Money!
NATIONAL -- I had a checking account with US Bank. Unauthorized charges were made, fees were applied, I never received my statements properly, I was not allowed to close the account, and US Bank reported my info to collectors, credit and Chexsystems.
It has taken two years and the help of outside agencies, (BBB, OCC, FDIC, and FTC) to even get a response and some help from the bank. They now admit that I should never have been responsible for the account being negative.
The account should have been positive $1059.98 at close. US Bank is only willing to admit to owing me $602.45. Of that, they are STEALING $358.45 to pay to the collectors for which they admit I should have never been responsible to. This leaves me with a promise of a check for $244.00 that was promised to me a month ago and I have not seen. I was also promised that all my info would be deleted from collections, credit and Chexsystems and that has not been done-I double checked with the collectors. I have documentation of everything.
US Bank has very poor and little to no customer service. Nasty people to deal with. Unfair and illegal practices.
I am also out almost $300 for the cost of attempted recovery, plus communications and also the financial damage from damaged credit.
