Waterpik Informative - Impressed With Warranty Service
Got one of these at Christmas. This model is a self contained hand held cordless. The advantage would be the portability and the absence of the tube from their standard model. I find the thin tube line always breaks after a couple years, rendering the standard unit useless.
I called this an informative as in a way, it's both a complaint and a compliment. On the down side, the hand held has less power, the battery degrades after about a month and my entire unit completely seized up after 3 months use. On the upside, I can't rave enough about their service. It has a two year warranty and you call them up with the serial number off the back and tell them it broke and they just send a new one. No receipt needed, no shipping it back, no shipping fees, no arguments. Fantastic service! I only hope people don't abuse it by claiming they need a replacement when they don't, making their own two for one deal. That's the kind of thing that prevents retailers and manufacturers from offering no hassle returns to start with.
So we'll see if I have better luck with the replacement.
So big kudos on the customer service, yet I would recommend getting the counter top plug in model to anyone considering the two. Regardless of how long the second one lasts, there is a noticeable power difference.
