DaimlerChrysler Complaint - Dangerous Bucket Seat
AUSTIN, TEXAS -- Hello folks, welcome to my lemon world. A couple days back I drove up to a stop light, hit my brakes and my seat came loose from the frame. The auto has never been in a wreck, and has only 65,000 miles on it. I HAVE had a seat-back break on a Ford bronco, but NEVER THIS. I called the dealership who directed me to the corp. In broken English she gave me her super who informed me of ANOTHER higher-up, who gave me the phone# of a govt.safety org. NO CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. Golly! you'd think that rather than a potential safety re-call that the corp. would want to fix the problem. I did want a new JEEP because I thought that it was a "tough" machine, but now.................
Look at this, the rail that the seat rides on has a hole where the bolt is to hold it down. The rail is loose because now there is only a nut holding a piece of scrap metal. The answer I get is that a 2001 auto is now too old. GOOD LUCK YOU CHRYSLER OWNERS! RW
