Priceline.com Informative - They Double Charged Me!
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I booked a ticket through Priceline since money is tight for me but I had to make this trip. Everything went smoothly until the day after I booked my flight and found out my credit card was maxed out because they'd charged me twice! I had to dig all my loose change out of my purse just to get to work. I called Priceline who immediately blamed the airline. The only company I'd given my credit card info to was Priceline, so they were the only ones allowed to charge my card. This was confirmed by the airline, my credit card company and a friend who resolves these types of issues for a different credit card company.
Priceline said the extra charges would drop off within 48 hours but it took over a week of me (a professional advocate), the BBB, and the Dept of Consumer Affairs pushing Priceline to act. Also their customer service reps had a policy of not giving their names so you could never tell who you spoke with previously!
