Wal-Mart Complaint - Management at store #1736
DOVER, DELAWARE -- I am an associate of store #1736 and have been for over 4 years now. I have to say that since Melissa Pack was made store manager this store has gone down hill. She (melissa Pack) is a man hateing raceist. For example, company reguirements to become a Department Manager is: 6 months in current position, and no active write ups. Since Melissa has been in charge 4 department manager positons have been filled with "women" who did not have 90 days with the company let alone 6 months in current position. To make things even better, she has had 5 "men" written up so that they would not be elligable for a department manager position.Higher Management needs to address these integrity issues. Its pretty bad when the co-manager quits the company because of Melissa, also 3 Assistant Managers, 2 quit the company and 1 transfered because of Melissa. Melissa is also a walking safety hazard. To sit on a pallet of freight while it is being moved by the forklift from receiving to the trailers on the other side of the building is a safety violation, also Melissa has been seen talking on her cell phone while operating the forklift, this is also a safety violation. To make matters worse, our Regional Safety man(Chico) was informed of the violations and did nothing about it!!! I understand that management covers Management, but i also beleive"LEAD BY EXAMPLE" in which case, they are trying to teach the associates to be unsafe and incompitant. Corperate beliefs#1 "Respect for the individual" is also a joke!!!! All Management cares about is their bonuses. A manager is only as good as the people under them. They crap on us and we do little or no work which in turn makes Management look bad and they cant figure out why. If Mr. Sam Walton knew what was going on today, he would roll over in his grave.There are alot of hard working associates at store#1736, which get no appreciation for a job well done, instead they get their jobs threatened. Scare tactics do not work, all it does is cause bad feelings towards the company and its management. In the 4 years with this company, i have worked overtime on numerous occasions helping other departments and have traveled to other stores to help them out and have never been told thank you or you are doing a good job by any level of management!!!! Since Management only cares about themselves, than why should the associates care about what management wants???!!!!! In my opinion, anyone who defends store#1736, or walmart inc. should seek Medical attention because they have a serious problem!! The only way to rectumfy this situation is to TERMINATE all Management at store#1736 and start over with some compitant management.
