Vonage Compliment - Helpful On Fixing One Way Audio Issues And Providing Better Service
WAUSAU, WISCONSIN -- Well I've been a Vonage customer for a little less than seven months now but I'm 95% happy with the service. Two months after I got the service I started having one way audio problems causing the people on the other end of my calls to not hear me but I was able to hear them. Then I was always being hung up on for not being heard man that was frustrating. I call Vonage up to get to the bottom of the problem and they asked me to test my internet speed so I did. They told me that having too many instant messengers downloaded and running at once could slow down the internet. So I uninstalled 2 of the 3 that I had on my computer seeing I barely used those 2. They actually knew what they were talking about. I still have rare times where the audio is bad but not nearly as bad as the one week in March. They also told me that a minimum download speed of 4000 kbps was required and an upload speed minimum of 230 kbps was required in order for vonage to function properly.
I would like to thank Vonage for helping me fix the frustrating problem and giving me much more reliable service then my previous phone provider. They don't over charge like my previous phone company and they don't interrupt service without notice. All I can say is that don't knock Vonage until you know how to make the most of it. I will agree that I don't like their payment practices. I tried changing my phone number and they wouldn't let me because I didn't have the funds right then and there. I asked them if they could just add it to my next bill and they said no. But for the most part I am happy with service otherwise. So before order go to www.vonage.com go to help and under frequently asked questions click on the How can I my internet connection link. You'll be brought to a page to start a speed test and they'll let you know what your speeds are at and if you've passed or not.
