Days Inn Complaint - Rude Front Desk Clerk
TROY, ALABAMA -- Me and my husband stay at the Days Inn in Troy, Alabama on Sunday June 29 for 1 night. We came and had breakfast before getting dressed to leave that morning (June 30) it was a young desk clerk at the desk who greeted us with a cheerful hello. we asked her if she was just coming on her shift and she stated she had been there all night. We were really wowed by this young lady upbeat personality after working all night. she was dressed nicely and had wonderful customer service skills.
Well we went back to our room to get dressed and came back around 7:20 or so and the nice young lady was gone and was replace by a foul mouth older lady maybe in her 50's or so. She was standing at the desk eating what appear to be a hot dog or sausage of some kind, and on the phone in a very foul and loud conversation. We stood there at the desk while she made racist comments perhaps concerning the management, she was saying that these (bleeping) Indians don't care about their (bleeping) hotel, and I don't give a (bleep) about it either. She finally motioned for us to leave our key on the counter. Well we went to get one more cup of coffee but the pot was empty, we asked her if she had anymore, and she sighed and told her call to hold on and don't hang the (bleep) up. She came around the corner to our surprise was barefooted. This lady was totally unprofessional. It looked like she should have been cleaning the parking lot instead of working at the desk. She was not up to days inn standards by any mean. We were amaze how you could go from a nice, friendly, clean desk clerk, to a potty mouth, unconcern one.
We are not looking for anything back from Days Inn, but we do enjoy the Days Inn chain and wanted to take the time to let them know where improvements are needed.
Thank you from two retired senior citizens.
