Woodfield Ford - Schaumburg, IL Informative - Lip Service Rather Than Customer Service @ Woodfield Ford

Review by FixOrRepairDummy on 2008-07-01
SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS -- So I brought my truck into Woodfield Ford in Schaumburg for my regular service, had a small repair done and they found NO other problems. Two months later after my wife got in a small rear end accident (bumper only), and after the repair by the others insurance company, the airbag light starts coming on intermittently. Bring in to Woodfield ford to diagnose, they charge 115 bucks to read a code in 10 minutes, then they say that cannot be from accident because BOTH pretensioners need to be replaced... yet afterward I find that the code was ONLY for the drivers side, (so in other words they LIED to get more money since it was a service bulletin that said they should replace both if they replace one), and then to top it off, they then go through a long list of all these suspension problems My car suddenly developed over 2 months time (since my 60K obviously), seal leaks, sway bar etc.

They attest not from the accident (so insurance won't pay), but after talking to a trustworthy mechanic I've known for years, he agreed that the likelihood of all of these things coming up like this is very unlikely...Only conclusion is that Woodfield ford DID NOT DO THE SERVICE THEY CHARGED ME OVER 300 BUCKS FOR!!! DON'T TAKE YOUR VEHICLES THERE! Take it to NAPA or even Jose on the corner if you want to get REAL work done at a lower price and better quality! Heck of a lot better than the false sense of security WOODFIELD FORD provides.

I contacted them to try to get a refund for the 60K service and you can guess what their response was. So, never buy a ford, never bring a ford to a ford service shop! and DON'T TRUST WOODFIELD FORD SERVICE!
