The Fishhopper Informative - The Fishhopper in Monterey, CA

Review by 64983 on 2008-07-01
MONTEREY, CALIFORNIA -- On a recent trip to Monterey,CA we went to The Fishhopper restaurant. It is located on Cannery Row, right at the end of the short pier. Our table had a great view (as all tables), and were able to watch California Sea Lions, and otters play around on the rocky coast.

The food is excellent,I had the fillet mignon perfectly cooked(no need for A-1), the wife ordered the seafood sampler,it had crab, shrimp, and scallops. It was the first (and last) time I had crab. I'm not a fan of seafood.

The drinks were great too,we had a few Zombies, as well as some other Rum drinks.
it is a bit pricey, but worth every penny. The staff is very nice, and they do a great job.

I would suggest this restaurant to anyone planning on visiting the lovely beach town of Monterey, CA.

Don't forget to call ahead and make a reservation.

(VH) Steve, with a name like that (Fishhopper) I just knew that something bad happened while dining there. Not even a small drizzle of Cocktail Sauce on either of you?.
Nice going!

How did your wife like their tartar sauce? Was it store bought or homemade? This is a very important detail you left out!

THANKS for the Tip. We are taking our '66 Corvette up to the Russo & Steele Auction, this month & found a sailboat to stay on from the Monterey Sailing Club. We usually eat at Fishwife's. Love the Peninsula.

I have some great footage of the Point Pinos Lighthouse with
a GT350 in front. This year I will get some HD footage.
