Excel Ford In Carthage Informative - Screwed - 2006 Ford Ranger Lemon

Review by roughneck on 2008-07-01
CARTHAGE, TEXAS -- I just purchased a 2006 Ford Ranger and first was charged 500 dollars for window etching when all the other Ford dealerships told me that they only charge 45 and there is nothing done to my windshield at all... Then on top of that 5 days after I bought it my truck started burning oil real bad... Now after putting @12000 miles on it the truck is again in the shop because that the thing simply won't go any faster than 30 mph. The transmission is throwing a code and causing the computer to make my truck miss... They told me it would be @ 3 weeks before they could do anything about it and suggest that take it elsewhere.. The Ford Motor Company refuses to let me get a loaner or rental car, and refuse to work with me...

This truck is the only thing I have to get me back and forth to work... now I am about to lose my dream job making 20 bucks an hour to feed my 3 kids and wife... Excel even laughed at me because I was going to lose my job... I can't believe they are so crooked that their kids are cross eyed....

Window etching? A total waste of money. All any thief has to do is buy a $15 etcher at Walmart and etch out or change the numbers. Another ploy by the dealer's to take the cusomter's money for nothing. It boils down to always have a used car checked out by an independent mechanic. I only hope part of this is covered by a warranty.
