Bachman Chevrolet Informative - Refuses to honor warranty - Engine warranty

Engine warranty
Review by jtichenor on 2003-11-16
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY -- On June 14,1999, I purchased a GM Goodwrench replacement engine from Bachman Chevrolet, for my Chev. van. The engine warranty was for 36 months or 50,000 miles( whichever occurred first). It performed well for 25,000 miles up to Jan.2002 when it began to oil foul #8 spark plug. In April 2002, Bachman replaced the engine with another new replacement engine. When I went to pick up the van they gave me a no charge invoice and a new warranty book for 36 months/50,000 miles. After receiving the van, I realized it had a problem and left it at Bachman's, for a week, so they could remedy the problem. They didn't.
I complained a number of times and in Aug.2002 I was advised that the warranty was on the first engine only, and it had expired in June 2002. Now it is eighteen months later and my van is not reliable enough to drive.
Bachman Chev. refuses to acknowledge any responsibility for this situation.
