Burger King Complaint - Extremely Rude Drive-Thru Employee
ALEXANDRIA, MINNESOTA -- My daughter and I recently visited our local Burger King in Alexandria, MN and left absolutely shocked by the rude "service" we received!
We went through the drive-thru and ordered 2 iced coffees. We pulled ahead to the window and paid, the girl then started to hand me a hot coffee. I NICELY told her that we ordered iced coffees. To that she barked "NO, you did not!" It was 9 p.m. and after a long, stressful day, I was being quite the pushover and just did not feel like arguing. So, I said "Well, I did order iced coffee, but we will just take it hot." She then slammed the window shut, without giving me the other coffee. I then sat there and waited about 3 minutes more until she "got around" to opening the window back up to see what I wanted. I told her I was still waiting for the other coffee (which was sitting right there). She shoved the other coffee at me and shut the window without saying a word.
At that point, my daughter was pretty upset with me for taking the girl's crap, not to mention the fact that she was stuck with a hot coffee she didn't want. So, here's where it gets even more ridiculous! I pulled into a parking space, and told my daughter to go ahead into the store, ask them to dump the hot coffees that we didn't even want in the first place and just order new ICED coffees. I gave her money and told her to just pay all over again for the iced coffee, as our receipt said hot coffee (the girl rung it up wrong). My daughter went in and explained the situation very nicely to the guy at the counter and told him we would just pay all over again, all we wanted was our iced coffee!!
Well, the drive-thru "diva" heard what was going on out front and hollered to the guy, "yeah, they just went through drive-thru and threw a F***in' fit, they claim they ordered iced coffee, they didn't, they just want free coffee!!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? We were way TOO nice in the first place, and to go through all that for free coffee seems a little silly. Anyway, at that point my daughter had had enough and said "I can hear you back there, just forget it, we'll go somewhere else." The girl said "No, I already made the "f***in" things." We left pretty shocked about the whole situation.
I did call the store manager the next morning and told her what had happened. She said she would have a talk with that particular employee. The store manager was very professional when talking to me about the incident, but I still wanted to do a little "venting" I guess.
