Perry's Schuch Hotel Compliment - Schuch Hotel Restaurant

Review by D on 2008-07-05
SAGINAW, MICHIGAN -- Perry's Schuch Hotel RestaurantThis is a local restaurant that serves good old-fashioned "stick to your ribs" food.

The Tuesday night meat loaf special for $3.95 is excellent and tasty.
They do serve a full menu with the top price of around 13 dollars.
It is an old, old building with tons of character featuring all kinds of odd antiques and beer steins.

It was built in 1868 and has been in continuous operation since then.

If you are into sing-alongs and homespun entertainment, this is a good place to be..

BTW... you can actually rent a hotel room for $120 a night..!

Sounds like a cool place OF, are the original waitresses who opened up the joint still there? I've always wanted to be waited on by a "tales from the crypt" skull with matted grey wispy hair dangling from the back as it cackles hideousely.

Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said 'We are all just
prisoners here, of our own device'
And in the master's chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
'Relax,' said the night man,
We are programmed to receive.
You can checkout any time you like,
but you can never leave!

Ahh, nothing like the Eagles. But "Living it up at the hotel Perry's Schuch" would make for bad song lyrics.

If I were going to rent a room there, it would have to be one with a door to the fire escape.. The building is decrepit but the food is good..

It reminds me of the haunted house we lived in when we lived in Buffalo.

Crystal...I HATED living there...the concrete jungle! If we wanted to go anywhere, we had to go up into Canada to Crystal Beach or the Fort Erie Racetrack. We lived right by the Peace Bridge.
