Greyhound Bus Lines Complaint - Paid For The Ticket And Was Not Assured A Ride!

Review by shanna on 2008-07-07
GRAND JUNCTION,CO, COLORADO -- So I bought 2 bus tickets in March of 2008 for departure date of May 2nd and on May 2nd I go at 5am with 2 kids and they say the bus is filled, of the next bus is filled, and you didn't but a refundable ticket so go home.. I had to get to Denver to catch my flight and they told me a ride from them is never for sure! I was stunned so I paid $200.00 for tickets and got nothing!!! They are horrible!!!

Greyhound doesn't work like the airlines. They won't guarantee a specific seat or even a specific bus. They just promise to get you there as soon as they can.

If the bus you are hoping to board is full -- the bus is full. You will have to wait for the next one.

Doesn't matter where you are, time of day or night, weather conditions, or the fact that you are pregnant with three kids in tow -- it's first come, first serve, with Greyhound.

They should at least forewarn ticket purchasers of this beforehand -- so they will know they are taking a risk when they gamble on Greyhound.

Most people find out the hard way.

Sorry to hear about your disappointing experience.
