Fox Chevrolet - Woodlawn, MD Complaint - Poor Customer Service, Misleading Repair Contract

Review by Annetta on 2008-07-07
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- I purchased a "Used" 1998 Buick LeSabre in Jan. of 2007. In June of 2008, the Engine supposedly locked up and the maintenance contract I purchased for $2,000 for add'l coverage for two (2) years covered nothing to do with the Engine, but "internally lubricated parts. A bunch of BS!

The brochure I was given was misleading. The cost to break down the engine ($525),(which I wouldn't pay them) outrageous, and the diagnostic fee of $99.95 useless. Turns out it was the upper intake manifold and not the engine lock-up or gasket head as they diagnosed.

Lost fees for rental car and aggravation priceless. Needless to say, the dealer offered me no assistance and the contact was of no use in this situation. Less than two (2)years paying for the car and major problems with this vehicle. No satisfaction from the Dealer at all.

This Dealership should be closed down. They are not worthy of public trust.

it would be more useful if you would clearly state why the service contract didn't cover the repair? Are you saying the mainfold gasket leaked causing the engine to overheat? It would be useful so people can determine if buying a service contract is of some benefit. The contract is with an outside agency so I don't see where the fault lies with the dealer, other than they recommend the contract.

More info? What did the brochure say that was misleading?
