Xenon International Academy Informative - Poor Customer Service - Poor Student Training
AURORA, COLORADO -- I'm writing to express my extreme disappointment in the customer service we received on June 30th, 2008, at the Aurora CO location. My daughter, Alexandra (age 15) made an appointment for a cut and color. The appointment started at 9:30am and we did not leave until 1:30pm, furthermore this was without services being completed (she left with wet hair) because she experienced great frustration in the time she had to sit in a chair for so long. While I realize it is a school and students are doing the work to enhance their skills, it is still unacceptable that 4 hours was necessary to complete the task. When addressing our concerns with the Director, I was given the most unprofessional treatment including a slammed door, which should never happen. Yes I understand you are a school and the work is being done by students, however if students are taught to treat customers the way the director treated me, that is a disservice to them, let alone the customer.
It is my intent to have this treatment recognized as inappropriate and I will forward this message to the main facilities of this organization. This is not to be perceived at a "threat" but rather a desire on my part to have it known that a school has the responsibility to teach their students all aspects of the profession with particular attention to good and appropriate customer service. If the director can not demonstrate that, then how are the students expected to learn that piece of the business?
I have extensive experience in customer service and am also a director in education and the behavior I experienced would never be considered acceptable under any circumstances. The whole experience we had says little about the credibility of the Xenon International Academy. After having said that, I will not recommend the facilities to anyone whether it be a client looking for services or a student looking for training. If this input is not given any consideration, that speaks further to the lack of credibility to the institution. I also intend to submit this information to the better business bureau.
Again, not a threat, but a desire on my part to be treated with respect as a client that you claim to value.
Thank you for your time.
