Mags4Cheap.com Complaint - Cancelled Without Promised Refund

BOAZ, ALABAMA -- I ordered a magazine for my wife and cancelled the order on the following day, May 8,2008. The company's policy, which is stated on there website, is to refund the amount taken off my debit card within 30 days. The refund would come in the form of a check. We haven't received a refund and anytime I send an email about the matter, they send a return email stating they will send my email to their billing dept to have it handled. I have all copies of the emails I've sent and received.

You might try filing a dispute with your bank for the debited amount. But since it is now past 60 days your bank may not take the dispute. It's worth a try anyway.

try disputing anyways. with bank of america, if you can prove you had tried to make contact with them, and get a refund, they will still make the credit back to the card. and then will go after the dead beats.

Next time you order anything on the web use your credit card. By using a debit card they have your money out of your account almost instantly. It also gives them access to your money and they could withdraw it all. This has been known to happen with some shady online dealers.

There have been a few people that have posted on M3C's that they got their money back from these low lifes. It was a bit of work but using the BBB, DA, courts, law enforcement etc people have had some success fighting back. They are hiding behind DomainsByProxy.com but GoDaddy has a program that you can get the domain contact info to help you.
