Priceline.com Complaint - Disabled By Priceline
NORWALK, CONNECTICUT -- I am an "older" disabled person with a physically disabled husband. Both of us have limited computer skills. I was looking for prices and options on priceline "name your price." I thought it was odd they wanted the credit card information first. I thought they would ask for confirmation prior to booking. I thought the terms and conditions were those conditions listed on the page. I marked I had read them. I was booked into a hotel without realizing it. I was told by the "highest level" (no managers or supervisors) customer service representative that the hotel could cancel the reservation. I have names and operator numbers.
The hotel said they can't cancel because priceline has to, and around in circles we went. I thought they would help me rectify the situation. I thought wrong. After 21 phone calls (phones I can use very well) I received no assistance, no satisfaction, and still have hotel reservations in a place I would never chose to stay. I asked my son for assistance. He discovered that there are 15 pages of terms and conditions in another area. They take away all your rights: I can't cancel, I can't change, I can't dispute the charge with my credit card company, I can't do anything to fight this. I am still trying though.
I have emailed my dispute to corporate, no phone calls, with no response. The good news is that I am getting better at using the computer. The bad new, I still have reservations in a "kids" hotel.
