Lamb Chevrolet - Prescott AZ Complaint - Scam - 2008 Silverado

Review by Drew1969 on 2008-07-15

I have no complaint with the vehicle I almost purchased, it's the service I received. I purchased a 2008 Silverado with the 0% financing deal they had. After a week I was called by the dealership and told that the financing didn't go through and that I would have to come up with $6500 and that my payments were going to be $150 more a month. Well, needless to say I didn't want this deal. So I told them I would bring the truck back and that I wanted by trade in back. Well, this all happened a few days ago, and they are still pressuring me to take the deal. That is not going to happen. They told me they need to find my trade in. So here I sit with a new truck, no financing, and a missing trade in. What are they going to do?!?!?!?

Seems like a lot of car dealers are pulling this shake-you-down-for-more-money nonsense lately.

THEY breached the contract. I assume you DO have a copy of the completed deal with your signature and theirs.

Be nice to them. Tell them they can either honor the contract they entered into or return your trade-in. If they cannot produce your trade-in tell them you will settle for NADA retail good condition value.

Failing that tell them you will see them in front of a judge.

Chuck is right - this is becoming an increasingly popular "revenue enhancement" program for too many dealers.
