Sears Informative - 10 repairs / 5 Appliances - 5 years
Building a home can be a pleasant experience. When I build mine in 2002, I purposely purchased Kenmore appliances thinking that they would be reliable and give me years of durability.
I could not have been more wrong. I just called Sears for my 10th repair call involving my 5th appliance. The latest: My upright freezer stopped working last week and all the food that was in it was spoiled.
Needles to say, I am completely disgusted with Sears and it's Kenmore products. At this point, I will not accept the $50 dollar coupon they have thrown at me in the past while telling me that I am better off running down to my local Sears store and buy new. I shouldn't have to replace 5 appliances in 5 years. So far, I have had the microwave/convection oven be deemed "unrepairable", the wall oven master control computer had to be replaced ($1,000+), the washer broken 3 times and the dryer, 2 times).
I have had terrible experiences with Kenmore Products and will not purchase one again. I urge everyone who is reading this to stay away from Kenmore products (and Sears for that matter).
