Public Service Electric Informative - Meter Reading

Review by lululaurie on 2008-07-16
BLOOMFIELD, NEW JERSEY -- PSE&G, NJ keeps nagging to come in to do a personal meter reading. Guess they don't get it that cant take off full day to wait for them to show up whenever, 8 to 3:30. Was advised that, as I live 5 minutes from work, they could call work and I could meet rep at house, THEY OFFERED THIS. Waited til 3, no call, called them, snotty guy said someone was there, could not get in. DUH.

Of course, he could not explain why I was told I would get a call, apparently PSE&G cannot afford to provide any means to do this, although they do offer it. ???

I do hope all their reps can afford to sit around and wait for someone to show up, maybe.

they need an accurate reading, nothing odd. when i lived up north, the water meters were in the basements. they required 2 reading by their personel yearly. other 10 times they would allow the home owner.

reason for these readings, this prevents the home owner cheating on usages.

that's interesting because water meters can now be read with a hand-heeld computer now... all there is is a little 2 inch box on the home exterior that they swipe with the reader..
