Lowe's Complaint - Do Not Buy Anything You need Delivered
WALL, NEW JERSEY -- When we ordered a new frig the salesperson told us they would hook up the new ice maker to the existing water line. Their website also guarantees that. But Lowe's hires a separate contractor to deliver their appliances & that company is horrendous. They were late, then the guy was rude & short with me when he first got to my house. He asked to use my husband's tools (I guess he didn't have any), he never took the packaging out of the inside of the frig & there was some plastic left on outside too. He didn't even turn the frig on but I didn't realize all that until later.
What I did notice was that the ice maker was still sitting in a box & when I told him he was supposed to hook it up, he refused. I called his manager who even told him he was supposed to hook it up, but he continued to refuse to do it. I told him I would not sign for delivery until he took care of the ice maker. He then unplugged the new fridge and starting leaving the house with it. Since I am a woman, husband was at work & all of my food would have spoiled I told him I would sign just as long as he put the frig back. He laughed at me and said he didn't need the signature after all and left the frig where it was, in the middle of the room - too far to plug in and also left my old frig in the driveway and left. I called Lowe's Customer Service & was put on hold for 15 minutes, they never came back, I hung up and they never called me back. I had to call them again.
I have never been so badly mistreated, disrespected & appalled by a delivery service (which I paid $79 for). I will never shop at Lowe's again.
